RAISEonline Training - School Data Training - Data Interpretation

what do headteachers think of our training?

here is a sample of comments that we have received:

"All my previous data analysis training came together and related to my school in a totally meaningful way.The opportunity to ask questions about OUR data rather than anonymous data was invaluable. The trainer inspired me with confidence about data analysis and I would even admit enjoying it"

Marian Bolton, Headteacher, St.Mary's Catholic Primary School, Chesterfield

"The training was exactly what was needed. It was presented well and both members of staff involved believe that as a result of the day the school can now use RAISEonline much more effectively"

Larry Wilson, Associate Headteacher, Shorefields Technology College, Liverpool

"The whole morning was of great interest but working with the school's own data was enlightening. This type of training where the whole leadership team work together with an on site trainer has the greatest impact on moving the school forward in its analysis and self evaluation

Thanks for an excellent and stress free session where we were free to explore at our own level of competence. I look forward to follow up work with you in the Spring/ Summer term to move our level of development further forward"

Aine Brodie, Headteacher, Our Lady Immaculate RC Primary School, Liverpool

"Being able to have training in a small group was invaluable. Each member of the Leadership Team had differing levels of competence in handling data. Working in this way enabled each team member to be clear in how data can be used effectively to support School Self Evaluation and how to successfully navigate RAISEonline. It was an excellent use of funding, thank you for this service, I will certainly recommend you to headteachers in my pyramid"

Kathy Litton , Headteacher, Carlton J & I School, South Elmsall, Pontefract

"We were more than happy with the training. Would recommend to other schools and have already done so"

Primary School Headteacher, Winsford, Cheshire

"The training was excellent. I found the individual tutorial a much easier way to learn and my course leader was very patient with me as I had lots of questions. The whole process was meaningful to my situation and has improved my approach to my SEF work and target setting. Thank you!"

Karen Murphy , Headteacher, Springside Primary, Bury, Lancashire

"We would like you to come back and work with us to analyse the data for next year"

Jenny Wilde , Headteacher, Greenmount Primary, Beeston, Leeds

"It was a really valuable session in which we had the opportunity to look at our own data. We learned how to access and interpret the data in various forms and how to use it for SEF. Very useful CPD for staff members. "

Claire Spinks , Headteacher, Capenhurst CE Primary, Cheshire

"It was useful to have the time to work at our own pace and have the opportunity to ask questions as queries arose.

Thank you for the 'tailor made' training that did address our training needs, met our learning objectives and achieved our targets "

Kate Maunder, Headteacher, Gwladys Street Comm Primary, Everton, Liverpool

"The feedback has been enthusiastic and has most definitely raised the level of discussion amongst SMT. Thank you. "

Joe Welsh, Executive Headteacher, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Primary & St Malachy's Catholic Primary, Toxteth, Liverpool

"The careful guidance through the system was completed very quickly saving me valuable time. I will recommend to others"

Karen Clark , Headeacher, Pear Tree Infant School, Derby

"The knowledge of the provider was excellent with very clear delivery. We are considering doing INSET for staff on this and may be in touch again in the future"

Sally Clarke/Jacqui Newton , Co-Headeachers, Seely I & N School, Nottingham

"The session was very well planned. It was very comprehensive, but delivered in bite size chunks so staff didn't feel overwhelmed... Due to the fact the session was for a very small group meant that all staff taking part could have hands-on experience and work at their own pace, having all their questions answered. The training was excellent and tailored to our needs.

We have recommended Data for School Improvement to other schools as it was good value for money"

Sue Ball , Headeacher, Croft Primary School, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts

"Excellent. Very useful to have had one to one tuition"

Pauline O'Connor, Headeacher, Holy Family Catholic Primary, New Wortley, Leeds

"The whole session was excellent and your patient delivery made the mass of facts, figures and graphs easy to understand. We have now been able to use the data to feed-back to governors and staff"

Sue Howe, Headeacher, Kilnhurst Primary School, Kilnhurst, Rotherham

"It was great to have an opportunity to work in a small group. The training was at the pace and level that we required. Our questions and concerns were answered immediately. Thank you"

Diane Palin, Headteacher, Wincham Community Primary School, Cheshire

"The training clearly met the objectives. Great"

Helen Hough, Headteacher - Borrow Wood Junior School, Spondon, Derby

"Our instructor was the perfect provider for us - he pitched everything at an accessible level."

Jackie Flower, Headteacher - St Ann's Well Junior School, St Ann's, Nottingham

"The one-to-one nature of the course was tailored to meet my needs. I found it really useful, thank you"

Diane Smales, Headteacher - High Green Primary School, High Green, Sheffield

"The whole session was well paced and aimed correctly at our experience and knowledge"

Primary School Headteacher - Uttoxeter, Staffordshire

"I found it useful to be able to immediately link all the information given directly to our own school SEF. With the visit being to our own school no information was generalised, it was all about us. Understanding the 'drilling down' process and how this information can be used to support our SEF.

The morning was extremely informative, there was a lot to take in and we need to make time to access the site and use the information that was explained to us today. The whole morning was 'stress free' because only members of our own school were involved so everyone asked questions - there were no inhibitions, often felt at larger gatherings, in case our questions were thought by others to be stupid. Our course leader was very relaxed and very supportive throughout the morning"

Anne Elford, Headteacher - Windsor Community Primary School, Toxteth, Liverpool

"Training as a group of three was very useful. This allowed for discussion and individual contribution. Also after the training there was no need for cascade training. The training was delivered clearly"

Primary School Headteacher - Salford

"I thought the course was particularly good as it was nearly 1:1 training. It was all useful as I hadn't been on any previous training"

Amber Latif, Acting Headteacher, Lenton Primary School, Nottingham
